About Wilkipedia
Wilkipedia is a cheerful encyclopedia of wrongness—the misconceptions we all share, the memories we all mangle, and the confident nonsense that AI now generates at scale. Educational, fact-checked, and not remotely as serious as its subject deserves.
📛 Wilki ≠ Wiki. We are an independent, tongue-in-cheek project. We are not Wikipedia, not affiliated with the Wikimedia Foundation or any encyclopedia, and we don't imitate their look or claim their authority. The name is a wink at how easily a familiar thing gets misremembered — which is, after all, the whole point.
What we do
- Bust misconceptions with real, verifiable facts — the stuff 'everybody knows' that happens to be false;
- Explore the Mandela effect and the fascinating, ordinary memory science behind it;
- Teach AI-error literacy — what hallucinations are and how not to get fooled;
- Champion one idea above all: confident and true are different things.
The fine print
- We aim to be accurate — ironic if we weren't — but we're a lighthearted project, so verify anything that actually matters against authoritative sources;
- Corrections welcome: being wrong gracefully is the house religion;
- Take us seriously, but not too seriously — that balance is basically the site.
